Może w końcu warto raz na zawsze porzucić wagę w kąt?

Kelsey Wells ma ponad 720 tys. fanów na Instagramie. Autorka bloga My sweat life i spełniona mama, udowadnia, że waga to tak naprawdę tylko liczba, z którą nie powinniśmy się aż tak do końca utożsamiać.
 

IF YOU ARE BASING YOUR SELF-LOVE AND HAPPINESS ON LOOKING A CERTAIN WAY, YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY. Happiness does not come from a six pack or a pant size. There are women of all shapes and sizes who are unhappy with their bodies and of all shapes and sizes who love themselves and treat themselves kindly. I personally have been many weights and sizes and no matter WHAT, was never happy with my body. THAT is why I preach self love, because if we don't love ourselves we are not healthy no matter how "fit" we are. I promote being active and nourishing our bodies because if we aren't caring for our bodies, it is hard for that self love to grow. The mental and emotional changes that are NOT seen in these photos began to manifest FAR before any muscle definition did. I have worked hard and am proud of my physical progress, but I am more proud of the fact that it does not define me. For much of my life I was filled with self doubt and insecurities, so I am MOST proud that now I am proud of who I am. I am unashamed of my dreams. I have the courage to set goals, the discipline to WORK for them, and the self belief that I can reach them. Of course at times I still fall back into a negative place. But now those moments are the exception instead of the norm. THEY CAN AND SHOULD BE FOR YOU TOO. Self love is not about thinking you are perfect and never wanting to improve or change. It is about understanding you are WORTHY, and WORTH IT, REGARDLESS of any physical changes; and I believe as we take care of our bodies physically, it is SO MUCH EASIER to treat ourselves with love mentally and truly see the worth permanently within us. Not because you start to look a certain way, but because you start to FEEL a certain way. So yes, get out and sweat! Make the healthy choice! At the same time be aware of your self talk and exercise positive thinking. Gwiazda nie wstydzi się wrzucać do sieci swoich zdjęć z przeszłości. Jest dumna z drogi, którą przeszła oraz podjętych prób i błędów.

Największą burzę wywołała jednak wstawiając zdjęcie ukazujące jej sylwetkę w 3 możliwych wagach, z której to ta jedna z wyższych wygląda zdrowo i jest najbardziej pożądana. Na pierwszych zdjęciu fit mama waży 65 kg, na drugim 55 kg, a na ostatnim 63 kg. 

 

Reposting this for those who messaged me asking what post I was referring to, and because I feel SO strongly about this.️ // GUYS. PLEASEEEEEE STOP GETTING HUNG UP ON THE NUMBER ON THE STUPUD SCALE! PLEASE STOP THINKING YOUR WEIGHT EQUALS YOUR PROGRESS AND FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING PLEASE STOP LETTING YOR WEIGHT HAVE ANY AFFECT WHATSOEVER ON YOUR SELF ESTEEM, like I used to. To any of you who are where I once was, please listen to me. I am 5' 7" and weigh 140 lbs. When I first started #bbg I was 8 weeks post partum and 145 lbs. I weighed 130 before getting pregnant, so based on nothing besides my own warped perception, I decided my "goal weight" should be 122 and to fit into my skinniest jeans. Well after a few months of BBG and breastfeeding, I HIT IT and I fit into those size 0 jeans. Well guess what? I HAVE GAINED 18 POUNDS SINCE THEN. EIGHT FREAKING TEEN. Also, I have gone up two pant sizes and as a matter of fact I ripped those skinny jeans wide open just the other week trying to pull them up over my knees. My point?? According to my old self and flawed standards, I would be failing miserably. THANK GOODNESS I finally learned to start measuring my progress by things that matter -- strength, ability, endurance, health, and HAPPINESS. Take progress photos and videos. Record how many push-ups you can do, ect. And if you can, your BFP -- there is only a 5 lb difference between my starting and current weight, but my body composition has changed COMPLETELY. I have never had more muscle and less body fat than I do now. I have never been healthier than I am now. I have never been more comfortable in my own skin than I am now. And if I didn't say #screwthescale long ago, I would have gave up on my journey. So to the little teeny tiny voice in the back of my head that still said "wtf is this- not 140!?" last week when I stepped on the scale, I say SCREW. YOU. Za to na poniższym foto pokazuje, jak wyglądał jej prawdziwy brzuch po porodzie. Gwiazda celowo napisała, że brzuch po lewej stronie jest w swojej naturalnej pozie. 

 

Key points this #transformationtuesday -- 1. I am NOT pushing my stomach out in the first photo. Still looking pregnant in the days/weeks following delivery is COMPLETELY normal and something I wish I would have known to expect. 2. On the left, I absolutely NEVER would have imagined that my body was capable of being as strong as it is now. 3. There are over 2 1/2 messy, imperfect years between these photos including a hell of a lot of hard work (mostly @kayla_itsines #bbg program) the sometimes painful process of learning to eat clean, and most importantly a complete shift in how I viewed and treated my body. // The days and years are rolling by whether or not you make a change, so stop putting pressure on yourself in the form of a timeline and simply make the little decisions and efforts each day that will keep you headed in the direction you want to be going. Also, BELIEVE IN YOUR FREAKIN SELF! Negative self talk is not allowed in 2017 remember? Droga dziewczyny do sylwetki, którą obecnie prezentuje była długa i żmudna. To właśnie przez ciężką pracę, konsekwencję w działaniu i wiarę w to, że się to uda, jest tu, gdzie jest. Wie, że wszystko przychodzi z czasem i dziewczyny na całym świecie, a w szczególności młode mamy, nie powinny się katować, czy obwiniać za to, jak wygladają. 

 

Since many of you are on your first round of @kayla_itsines #bbg program, this #transformationtuesday I wanted to show you my #bbgprogress through my first rounds -- EACH of the numbered photos represents 12 solid weeks. Physical goals are great, but remember to keep your expectations realistic. If you exercise and eat right, you will see changes in your body. But every BODY is different and unique and real results take time. This is why it is HANDS DOWN most important to remember to keep your main focus throughout this journey on building STRENGTH, SELF LOVE, and HEALTH. Set goals to do more push-ups or take fewer breaks. Set goals to think positively and compliment yourself. Set goals to nourish your body, drink enough water, and take a daily vitamin. Though the visual results will come, your drive to be active and healthy will become less about those and more about caring for and appreciating your beautiful body, and keeping it strong and healthy. THAT is what I have learned through my journey. I am HEALTHIER and HAPPIER than I ever have been. I am kinder to myself. I am confident in myself. Not just in my ability to jump on a box or do commandos, but in WHO I AM. As a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and in being unapologetically my imperfect SELF. Through #BBG I found my passion for fitness and healthy living and it is truly a journey of growing mentally and emotionally as well as physically. We each have our own struggles, strengths, and stories. Dziewczyna schudła dzięki programowi Kayla Itsines' Bikini Body Guide. Postanowiła podjąć jej wyzwaniu zaraz po urodzeniu synka w 2014 roku. Kelsey nawet przed porodem nigdy nie była w 100% zadowolona ze swojego ciała i teraz wie, że nie powinna tak myśleć. Dlatego tak otwarcie mówi o szanowaniu swojego ciała bez względu na etap, w którym się znajduje. 

 

It took me a long time to figure out how to love my body. How to be thankful for all it does instead of beating her up for all she's not. For the girl in the first three photos, the moments of confidence were the exception, not the rule. In the photo on the far left, though I was unhealthily underweight, I still genuinely thought I could lose a couple pounds. I couldn't see myself clearly. Up until I began @kayla_itsines #bbg program I believed self-confidence would come from looking a certain way or being a certain weight or fitting into a certain size. The girl on the right knows that could not be farther from the truth. For those of you thinking "well that's easy for you to say now because you hit your goals" please listen when I say that my confidence grew far before my muscles and my self love developed from how I treated my body, not how it looked. // I used to absolutely hate the first three photos and looked at them with embarrassment. Now, I look at them with pride. This body of mine has been through a lot in my short "adulthood" -- through it all, and for the most part inspite of how I viewed and treated it, it has carried me through. It has healed and grown a tiny human and healed again. It has kept safe my beating heart and literally allowed me to LIVE. I can see now that THAT alone is nothing short of miraculous. This is why I always emphasize my mental and emotional #transformation and #BBGprogress is by far the greatest and most important. Why I talk a lot more about #selflove than how to "get abs". Because our bodies are amazing. YOUR BODY IS AMAZING. Right now, just how it is. It is time to STOP comparison and negativity and start nurturing confidence. Time to start telling yourself you're a ONE-OF-A-KIND FIERCELY BEAUTIFUL MF QUEEN -- then start treating your body as the miracle it is watch as you begin to actually believe it. // I love you guys.
